My personal experiences have profoundly influenced my understanding of mental health and well-being. As a woman who discovered later in life that I am Autistic and ADHD (AuDHD), I have experienced a feeling of being out of step with the world without fully understanding why.
I wholeheartedly believe in the healing power of connection, a feeling I only began to experience when I trusted those around me. My goal is to create that same sense of trust with you. I am committed to nurturing an inclusive environment where you can comfortably explore your unique experiences and feelings. This is why I founded Diverse Therapy, a counselling service designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for those who work with me.
As a parent of neurodivergent children, I have experience with emotionally based school avoidance and have been a home educator for several years.
I also have personal experience with chronic illness, having been diagnosed with both endometriosis and fibromyalgia. I am aware of how challenging it can be to live with a chronic health condition.
These lived experiences shape who I am as both a person and a therapist. If any of this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out to me to arrange a free introductory call to see if we would be a good fit to work together.
